You asked for it, we are providing it – a new, simpler judging system for 2019. But will you and your instructors understand what the judges will be looking for? Join our webinar where Richard Haw (visual), Tony Lees (colour guard) and Neil Wright (music) will talk you through it.

Then onto critique, that time at the end of every contest when bandmasters and instructors get a chance to talk to the judges. What a great opportunity! But do you make the most of it? Join our webinar to hear from experienced judge and bandmaster Paul Morgan how to use the short time you have to your advantage.

The British Youth Band Association - or BYBA - is the UK's umbrella organisation for youth marching bands. Formed as a charity in 1974, it represents all styles of marching band including traditional, drum corps, show band and marching performance ensemble. 

BYBA facilitates a summer season of outdoor competitions and an annual Individuals and Ensembles contest.

Our training events include Train the Trainer for young or new instructors, Visual Design Workshop for visual show designers, and Train the Bandmaster. We run a webinar series of short factual presentations and one-off training sessions to meet member needs.
